A very special performance on Thursday, June 19th at Dizzy's: The Frank Perowsky/Shep Meyers Quartet, featuring the virtuosity of Frank Perowsky on tenor sax and clarinet, Shep Meyers on piano, along with the great Bob Magnusson on bass, as well as the always inventive percussionist, Tim McMahon on drums.

Dizzy's (all ages) new location is at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center on the ground floor of the Harbor Club Towers at 2nd Avenue & "J" Street. Phone # 858-270-7467. First show starts at 8:00 PM.

Frank Perowsky, in addition to currently playing for Liza Minnelli, has played with music giants like Tommy Flanagan, Stan Getz, Woody Herman, Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughn, and a slew of other heavyweights, and is a stellar arranger, having written charts for various big bands, including the bands of Buddy Rich, Bill Watrous, Mike Longo and Woody Herman. You don't want to miss this very special night of Jazz!
